Bilingual Medical Assistant – Multi-Specialty Care Team
Overview
Nova Medical Services is expanding into a new sector of healthcare services and is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our growing clinical team. This unique role supports providers across multiple points of service (POS), including clinics, assisted living facilities (ALFs), and nursing homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys variety in their work environment, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and wants to gain experience across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, and specialty care.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to assigned locations across Miami-Dade and Broward County to support Nova Medical Services providers
Assist providers during patient visits in clinics, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes
Take and document patient vital signs and medical history
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by providers
Perform basic diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and other clinical tests when needed
Collect and process lab specimens
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Assist with patient scheduling, follow-ups, and referrals
Maintain clean and organized workspaces and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
Provide excellent communication between patients, providers, and care teams
Adapt to different specialties and clinical environments during weekly rotations
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required
Skills & Experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Experience working in healthcare settings such as clinics, ALFs, or nursing homes is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Comfortable using computers and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic healthcare environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to travel between different facilities
Comfortable adapting to various clinical environments and provider needs
